A gift for my Aunt on her birthday.

This year I had my mom dust off her old photos and send em to me. I picked this one because of the color. Most photos of my mom and her sister are black and white but this one I thought was adorable!

I used Creative Imaginations papers for the base then some roses made from old book pages.

For her Birthday card I wanted something garden-ish since she always had the most beautiful gardens around her home.

The image is one from Crafty Secrets and the rosettes are made from washi tape.

For the inside I wanted her to know just how special she is so I made up this
cute little acronym. I think she is gonna love it!

Have a wonderful week!

I have started on my new hallway layout project. I have a 2 very long hallways
with lots of wall space for this new project of mine. I found this on Pinterest and decided
to do something similar on my walls.

I plan on a more vintage look but this is the basic idea.

For my first layout I dug up some old photos of my daughter in the
poppy fields. That + Graphic 45 Secret Garden and some handmade
poppies =

For each new layout I create a short video will follow with
a technique tutorial. This video I will be making tonight is
on the poppies. Handmade no punches or machines required =)

Thanks for stopping by!

My daughter decided to give me a Pinterest Mother's Day this year.
She found 3 adorable projects (2 that involved sewing) to make me
And of course I took pics!

Tissue holder made with felt and she hand cut the flowers!

The puppy opens up into an emergency sewing kit...
(she know me so well)

And this little watering can had my necklace inside. She made that
Using G45 papers and a half glass dome bezel.

These are just so cute!! she did a great job =)
Thank you baby girl! you are the best!

Ever since I made my moms mothers day card I have

For this Card I used October Afternoons farmhouse paper
collection and the matching flower sack for the

Just a little something I made to go along with the
layout I did for my mom.

I used Melissa Frances 5th Ave papers for my card.

The poem on the inside of the card is so sweet.
I found it on Pinterest and knew my mom would love it.

A close up of my shabby little flower.

I made the flower using Tim Holtz Tattered flowers die

I cut several layers of the same flower using cotton fabric, colored burlap, white satin and lace.

then just layered them alternating the fabrics and petals.
Last step is adding the middle piece. This is a pretty little pearl flower
that was a brad...just removed the pointy things on the back and hot glued it to the center.

Hope your all having fun creating your special mothers day gifts as well!
